I am thrilled to be teaching an additional class on the schedule at 889 Yoga. Please join me on Monday nights for a Candlelight Restorative Yoga class from 7:00 - 8:15 pm.
This class is suitable for everyone, especially those wanting to feel relaxed and rejuvenated. This form of yoga is done mostly lying down so you can completely relax into each pose. Props are used to help students hold gentle supportive postures that will deeply restore the body and calm the mind and central nervous system. Restorative yoga is a profoundly healing practice that helps move the practitioner towards balance and homeostasis.
As an advocate for mental health, I strongly recommend this class for people who are dealing with chronic stress and anxiety. Also, as a busy mom, I highly recommend this practice to parents so that they might take the time to nourish themselves. It is vital that we give ourselves permission to practice self-care.
