"Our task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."
Since my twenties, I have been fascinated by how people change and with human potential. My journey has been one of seeking, testing and questioning. I am curious and sensitive. Along my path to understanding self, I was fortunate to find yoga.
I am a proud mother of two girls. I consider yoga, movement and mindfulness to be essential components for cultivating presence, stability, grace and ease. I have taught yoga for over ten years.
As a facilitator of change, I am specifically drawn to mental health. I see yoga, mindfulness and relational somatic inquiry as valuable tools to ease suffering. Having overcome an addiction in my twenties, and learned to manage anxiety through personal work, I have great empathy and compassion for others struggling with addiction, trauma and other mental health issues. I believe that healing occurs within the context of a safe relationship. My approach is warm, nurturing and non-judgemental, inviting you to show up as you are to explore self.
My career encompasses work in social services, public health and the teaching of yoga and mindfulness in community centres, churches, schools, workplaces, treatment centres, hospitals, hotels and studios. I have worked with children, teens, new moms, adults and seniors.
